Hey all,
Two hypercool things to announce:
1) Luke Healey, James Spence, Zoë Kirk-Robinson and I have recently started up a webcomics podcast, called “The Webcomics Company”. It can be found here, and is essentially an hour of us talking about making comics - it’s a lot of fun to make and I hope it equally fun to listen to. First episode is all about getting started with a comic, check it out if that’s the sort of thing you’re in to. We’ll be recording every other weekend.
2) Equally exciting news: Amy Letts and I are starting up an Oxford Comic Creators Society this coming weekend. The first meet up (bring pens and paper!) will be at Far from the Madding Crowd
at 2pm, Saturday 2nd October and will be brilliant. If you make comics ( or would like to make comics) it would be great to see you. Email me for more deets. There’s an event on Facebook ‘cos we’re just that cool.
Cheers!
Luke
Hey,
So when I was in Cambridge I went and set up a little comics society (I think I’ve mentioned it a few times here). Nothing major, just a bunch of people who met up and drew comics together on Saturdays while drinking tea. This was great, but then I did a silly thing by graduating and moving to Oxford. Apparently the rest of the society decided not to all move with me, but rather continued comicing in Cambridge.
So I’m now in Oxford without such a comics society (there’s the annual convention, but nothing else that I know of), and I think I’m going to have to do something to remedy this. So if you are a comics creator person in the Oxford area (or knows some people who are), get in touch ([email protected]). I think we could create something pretty cool.

P.S. Today’s comic link is Life Ain’t No Pony Farm, that link should take you nicely to the beginning of the just completed storyline.
