Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t the guy prophet for Muslims that Muhammed bloke? And don’t they get really angry whenever anybody draws a picture of him? Does this mean people are going to start burning embassies again, like with that Norwegian (I think) newspaper?

I do like this – any joke about religion that isn’t just offensive for the sake of it is always funnier than the ones that just offend for no reason. So anyway, here’s some more punch lines from my head.

Jesus Saves but Buddha has a full disaster recovery plan with an off site back up in a fire proof bunker 50 foot under ground.

In reply to Captain Canuck: technically, the whole story is that one of Mohammed’s prophety things is that he WAS illiterate, then an angel came down and taught him to write the Koran…at least, if I remember correctly.

um, i don’t want to bitch about this but it kinda seems offensive. i mean honestly, not feeling to good here and im not even that serious of a Muslim. not cool
rather than cribbing about why do muslims demand special treatment (… “we joke about other religions too, they dont mind”) i think better is to respect their feelings. May be we dont agree with their teachings , and also their closemindedness… but why not still care.
Almost every comment here seems to think all Muslims are angry and irrational. You automatically assume they’re oversensitive and will be pissed off. As opposed to Christians and Jews who are ALWAYS levelheaded and would never take offense here, eh?
