   Yep, I’m in Edinburgh for the Fringe. After posting that, you’ve definitely got to see Anthony Rapp (as in the guy who originated the role of Mark in Rent)! So far I’ve been particularly impressed with Scales of the Unexpected (comedy singing trio), Lady Sings It Better (all female singing group who perform songs normally sung by men), Man 1 Bank 0 (guy who deposits a fake cheque then gets credited with the money), and Carl-Einar Häckner (as ridiculously stupid, but still funny, as ever).
   Also, you should totally see the show I’m tech-ing for *cough - of course this isn’t self-promotion - cough cough*: Photographing the Dead. A play (not comedy) about a woman where one small event of having her photo taken changes her outlook on life.
   And that’s about all my recommendations for the moment!

   I’m not there, but I’ve seen some of Bec Hill’s other work and have heard that her show there is good. Go see her.

   I’ve only managed 3 shows this year All today. The early edition is a fairly solid early afternoon panel discussion (not worth seeking out especially but they had 2 for 1 on) with Marcus Brigstock.
   Bad Bread are a fantastic sketch group (again they were 2 for 1 which always helps) you should really try and see them.
   Andrew Bird’s Global Village Fete, is a pretty solid stand up show if you don’t have anything else to see at that time of day, very good if you like villages.

   Actually, I think inches might be the most logical method of measuring a year. The Earth moves around the Sun around a set course and at a set speed, so if we could measure the exact distance in inches and get an exact reading on how fast the Earth moves, we can calculate exactly how long a year is in seconds.

   And then we can do away with Leap Years and all the other nonsense.
