Liberty and Security have become mutually exclusive. 🙁

You are more likely to be killed by sharks while falling off a building than you are at a chance of being killed in a terrorist attack.

Terrorism kills no-one. Well, ok, it kills a few people. But more people die of clumsiness, stupid mistakes of others, or for no known reason at all, than because of terrorism - or any form of “insecure” activity for that matter.

Liberty and Security are not mutually exclusive, and we are secure.

You’re confusing security with being safe. Liberty and Security are mutually exclusive (and always have been) but Liberty and Being Safe are not (and never have been).

Being tied up and tossed in a locked vault poured full of cement qualifies as being secure but I doubt anyone would claim it’s safe.

Oh, it looks to me like Liberty is pretty well secured.
