    The real cloud nine is a Cumulonimbus – those massive towering clouds that you see just before an enormous storm. Inside they a whirling mass of wind & rain. During WWII an pilot ejected over one and a fall that should have taken 10 minutes ended up taking 40 as he was tossed about inside the cloud. Amazingly he survived, but the experience left him with bleeding ears & several broken bones. Does this more fully describe what your heart has just gone through? I hope not.

    @DJ: Actually, those massive towering clouds that you see just *before* a storm are called towering cumulus. They become cumulonimbus *while* it is raining.

    Personally, I think cloud 9 would be a cirrus.
