Today’s comic link is the delightfully amusing Superhero Girl. I like v. much.

Given the comic’s title, today’s comic link has to be the winner of the TWCL award for Best Gag-a-day comic : Bug. It’s one of the funniest comics online at the moment, well worth a read.
Hey,
So May 27th-29th is the gargantuan London MCM Expo, and I’m going to be in some corner somewhere with comics and high-fives. They’ll also be a whole load of other small-press types, some big-time comikers and other crazy things filling an aircraft-hanger sized space of the EXCEL centre. Maybe a date for your diaries?
Also, I’m moving to sunny Norwich this Autumn, any comicers over there?
Peace,
Luke
Today’s comic link is my podcast buddy Luke Healy’s magical adventure Swanny Nook. It’s a fun tale and it looks fantastic. I’d recommend reading from the beginning.
For those of you who read using the RSS feed, apologies if it’s been a little choppy recently. It’s a dark and unforgiving art trying to get these things to work, but I’ll have a poke at it over the next few days.
Peace
L
Note: There’s been a bit of a hack attempt on the site - main page seems OK but at the moment the RSS feed is down. Trying to deal with this has unfortunately chipped away at drawing time, so Friday’s comic is likely to be delayed/skipped - sorry!
Today’s comic link, isn’t a comic, but rather some music I like to listen to whilst cartooning. Laura Hocking and the Long Goodbye have a new EP out which you can sample & buy online and in my opinion is it absolutely fantastic - I’ve already bought my limited edition copy. In addition, 20% of sales go to the National Autistic Society.
To be honest, this ‘toon started with the word “DONK” and just went backwards from there.

427 - Wait a second. I’ve drawn 427 comics? How the frak did that happen?

Hey guys, new thing - I’m going to experiment with moving updates forward a little - to 8pm UK time Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. If I make a spelling, grammar or other mistake please let me know, and I should be able to make edits before I go to bed!
Peace,
L
P.S. If things have gone to plan, people reading in the RSS feed should now get mouseover text, try it out and let me know if you have any problems.
I drew* this while being watched by a security camera. Meta in extremis.
*pieced together quickly in Photoshop. Apologies for the slightly rushed comics of recent, been busy with Expo preparation and some real-world work stuff. Things should be back to normal soon.
Today’s comic link is People I Know‘s nifty Choose Your Own Adventure.
Only a few days till Expo people, get keen!
Today’s comic link is COMMISSIONED
Yep, I know me taking a public domain* image a sticking on a silly word balloon isn’t really a cartoon. I’ll be done with Expo preparation soon and should be able to do something a bit more involved come Monday.
Luke
*To the best of my knowledge. Searched but couldn’t find much information on the image, so I’m supposing it’s 18th or 19th century and therefore PD. Anyone know the title or the artist?
London Comic and Small Press Expo 2011 is where I’m going to be! Details are at the Expo website, but in short it’s at Goldsmith’s college of the University of London on Saturday 12th March, 10am - 5pm. I’m going to be sharing a table with the venerable Rob Cureton and it’d be great to see you there!
I’ll have a few new collections of comics to sell as well:
Peace,
Luke
So to you guys I guess this is Tuesday and you weren’t expecting an update. But for me, it’s Wednesday or something now. I’m going to fly faster than the speed of light around the world a few times to sort this out and then I’ll see you back on Friday.
