Hi,
New feature: You should now be able to go back and forward through the comic archive simply by pressing the left and right arrow keys - no mouse needed! Try it out now!
Hope you like,
Luke
P.S. Shift-left will take you to a random comic, shift-right to the latest comic.
If you think this comic is devilishly good you may also like comic #207 or comic #240
Today’s recommendation is a comic I’ve loved for a while now, Blurred Lines Comics. I’ve probably mentioned it a few times here, but it bears much repeating.
Hey all,
So I was thinking, I should be linking to other webcomics more - maybe try and do a link with each comic update. Now I could link to things I read such as Buttersafe, or Hark! A Vagrant, but you’ve probably already heard of those and decided whether they’re your cup of tea or no.
So, I was hoping you guys could help me find some great comics people are less likely to have already heard of. If you think you know of one (you can include ones you create yourself too!) leave a comment. I’ll read through and will try and link to some of my faves in future posts.
Peace,
L
P.S. In the middle of some minor page design changes at the moment, let me know if you have opinions.
This is one of those weird ones where when I had the idea, the line was so crystallised I worry that I may be remembering it from another comic. Couldn’t find anything through Google, but I did get some important tips on signs I might be pregnant. Current status: unconfirmed.
Yep, for the next 12 million years LukeSurl.com’s is going to make a joke about every piece of literature in chronological order. This Monday, watch out if you’re a fan of The Story of Sinuhe ‘cos I’m not pulling any punches.
To be honest I don’t know why this doesn’t happen more often. Queens are like the best pieces on the board, there’s no way they’d settle for some old fart who moves one square at a time.
Visitors to LukeSurl.com in a brief window of Monday morning may have seen an image similar to this one, but I’d like to point out that the above cannot be as, uh, “misinterpreted” as the previous.
Hey,
So on waking up this morning I noticed that a, uh, particular visual element of the cartoon was being mistaken for, uh, “something else”. I’ve substituted in what was going to be Wednesday’s comic in its place - and hopefully a little photoshop will mean that an unambiguous version of the previous will be up later in the week.
Ciao
Luke
Many thanks to Doug of Savage Chickens for letting me totally steal his style here
It’s a great comic by the way, go read.
I might do a few more ‘imitation strips’, figure I could learn a trick or two.
To see the full award ceremony, best start with the nice friendly welcome page.
Congratulations to Axe Cop, Red’s Planet, Minor Acts of Heroism and especially Scenes from a Multiverse
(the other comics featured above are SMBC, Qwantz and xkcd, but you already knew that, right?)
Wow, from the start of the universe to the end in two updates. Next comic will probably be somewhere in between.
Today’s comic recommendation is Life Ain’t no Pony Farm. Warning: Contains Pony. You can also read it in German, where the title is ‘Das Leben ist kein Ponyhof’ which sounds WAY cool.
