Sorry, page design has compressed this annoying. See here for the full-size wide version.
Some extra info:
* There is at least one solution – possibly several.
* White pawns advance “up”, black pawns “down”. You do not need to worry about promotion of pawns on the end rows.
Enjoy!

P.S. Solution is here
Hey,
Ping Teo of LonelyPanel.com did a review of the comic. Maybe have a looksee? Also WebcomicsUpdate does daily one-sentence reviews of several comics, including this one.
By the way, if you or a friend happen to operate a webcomics review site and feel like reviewing lukesurl.com (for good or ill) that’s totally cool.
Peace

P.S. Tomorrow’s comic has a PRIZE!
Hey,
I passed my exams! Bonus mini comic to celebrate!
Also, everyone should read Cowbirds in Love - it’s a comic full of happy.
Peace

Hey,
Apologies to those reading this in the RSS feed, but to the rest, have a look at the menu bar above. See anything different? Clicking that little die will take you to a random comic from the archives. Could be fun maybe?
Also there’s a new secret mini cartoon hidden somewhere on the site, wonder if anyone can find it? It’s got aliens!
Have fun,
L
Hey all,
So I hope you enjoyed Guest Artist Spectacular Month, links to all the participants can be found on the bar to the right. Once again, my exuberant thanks to all who helped out.
CSI: Webcomics is not a new spinoff in the franchise featuring in its pilot the mystery of Gabe and Tycho’s battered bodies being found with strange troll-inflicted wounds, but rather a nifty webcomics contest: “Comic Strip Improv“. Each week people are invited to submit comics on a particular theme and then you, the public, are invited to vote on their favourites. You can see what I and others did for this week’s theme of “Scary Girlfriend” here (scroll down to the “comments” section).
Anywhoo, I think that’s all, hope you’re doing good
Peace,
L
*P.S. My CSI entry will probably be Friday’s update - consider this a sneak preview!
