Never seen that effect with the word balloon… The customer got “wrapped-up” by the conversation…

They could be ice-cold flavoured water.

But the reason the waiter was saying is the correct one, there are even some vids on Youtube of bottles of -0C water being tapped lightly, causing them to freeze. They’re really cool.

Erm, wouldn’t the drinks be impure though?

Perhaps the colligative properties present due to the sugars in the solution would actually be a more practical?

AMT! Episode 92, I asked this question and couple of others!
Nice one, Luke, this’s my favorite comic yet.
Also I was at AMT! 100 too. It was awesome
