The version in the comic is the only one I’d ever heard until the discussion on here.
It’s funny. You’d think I’d know the sailor one too having grown up in a naval town, but I never heard it before now.

I grew up with shepherds too. But I’m in a pastoral area, so it’s probably sailors when you live by the sea. Is it ‘factory workers’ in big cities?
